How To Throw an Amazing BBQ

Just because you live in an apartment doesn’t mean you can’t have a cookout every once in a while. Just put your grill on the balcony or patio and go at it. Here are a few tips for hosting an amazing BBQ this summer.

Menu: BBQ’s can turn into a mess with foods and sides all over the place. Take back control of your food with a menu of meats and dishes that actually make sense. Does your event really need four types of salad? Stick to a simple menu instead.

Signature drink: you can have other drinks, like beers and wine. But a signature drink for everyone to imbibe is always a fun and conversation starting idea.

Start early: certain meats can take a while to cook. Chickens and ribs (and other pieces of meat) typically do better with a long, slow cook. So start cooking those meats a few house in advance. The burgers and hot dogs, however, cook quickly, so wait until the guest have arrived for those.
